Turlock High girls golf trounced Atwater on Tuesday by a score of 221 to 282.

The top four scores all came from Turlock as Sarah Garcia, Bergen Benedict, Michaela deBos and Brooke Vierra each shot under 44.

Garcia shot the lowest score of the day with a 42, while deBos and Vierra finished with a 43 and Benedict’s 44 was third best.

Turlock's highest score was from freshman Preethi Singh with a 49, as she tied Atwater’s best score of the day.

“Pretty solid scores from us despite having a few brain farts out there, but the gals regrouped and came in with a decent team score,” said Turlock head coach Mary Krupka. “I am still very proud of this team.”
