The West Side Theatre is getting into the spirit of Halloween with the ghostly comedy “Blithe Spirit.”
The theatre will be staging the play starting tonight through Nov. 1.
“Blithe Spirit” is a Noel Coward play which gets its name from a Percy Shelley poem “To a Skylark.” The story is about successful novelist Charles Condomine, who invites a medium to his home for a séance, as research for his latest novel. The medium, Madame Acarti, inadvertently calls forth the ghost of Elvira, Charles’ first wife. Only Charles can see or hear Elvira and all of her attempts to disrupt his current marriage to Ruth.
Shows are at 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. on Sundays.
Tickets are $17 for general admission and $20 for reserved seating. Students with a school id will be admitted for half price. Tickets can be purchased at www.westsidetheatre.org.
