Swedish show looking for American contestants
Sweden

Some of Turlock’s deepest roots come from Sweden and now some of those related to the city’s ancestors have a chance to shine on national television, albeit the nation of Sweden.

The Swedish reality show “Allt för Sverige,” which translates into “Anything for Sweden,” is seeking fun, outgoing Americans with Swedish ancestry to participate in the show’s fourth season. Contestants must be between the ages of 20 years to 70 years. The application deadline is Feb. 10.

The show has contestants competing in extreme cultural challenges that highlight Sweden. Each week the contestants are provided with information about their Swedish roots, but each week also sees one contestant leave the show. At the end the final contestant wins a meeting with their Swedish relatives.

“Allt för Sverige” will be shot and broadcast in Sweden and potentially other countries as well.

The show is being produced by Meter Television, a production company, that is known for shows like "The Biggest Loser" “Masterchef” and “Minute It To Win It.”
