Altercation leads to stabbing at Turlock party
TPD crime scene

An alcohol-fueled argument during a late-night party at a Turlock apartment complex led to one man being stabbed and the police searching for a suspect.

The incident happened shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday at an apartment complex in the 900 block of W. Monte Vista Avenue.

The victim, a 20-year-old man, got into a fight with several individuals at the party, during which one person stabbed him. The victim and the suspect did not know each other, said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Russ Holeman.

The victim was rushed to the hospital by a friend. The hospital reported the stabbing to the police department. The victim sustained a life-threatening injury, but is in stable condition now, Holeman said.

Detectives responded to the scene and are conducting an investigation and the victim is cooperating.
