The Turlock Police Department has arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with a burglary at Julien Elementary School Tuesday night.

Michael James Bledsoe of Turlock was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on suspicion of possession of the stolen property, the police department reported.

The burglary at Julien Elementary School was reported Wednesday morning when school staff noticed property had been taken, including a large public address system, a microphone and speakers, said Turlock Police Lt. Ron Reid.

Later that same day, officers were assisting Child Protective Services with an unrelated issue at a home in the 1400 Block of East Avenue. The officers noticed a large speaker in an adjacent room, which subsequently led to the recovery of the stolen public address system; however the suspect was not located, Reid said.

The officers made a return trip to the home Thursday and located Bledsoe and took him into custody.
