An auto burglary was thwarted Monday morning when two residents held the suspected burglars at gunpoint.
Just before 5 a.m. Monday, two residents in the 800 block of Emily Street saw what appeared to be two men trying to break into a vehicle. The residents held the two at bay with their guns until Turlock police officers arrived.
As it turned out, only one man was trying to break into the car, while the other man was trying to convince him to stop, according to the police department.
Carlos Romo, 24, was booked for auto burglary.
