An indoor marijuana growing operation capable of producing more than 200 pounds of product was discovered in Delhi on Wednesday.

The Merced County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant at a home in the 9000 block of Melinda Avenue around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Inside the home deputies found hundreds of plants growing under an elaborate network of lights and irrigation hoses.

The marijuana was about two weeks from being ready to harvest, according to the sheriff’s department.

In total, the deputies confiscated more than 200 pounds of marijuana that had a street value of about $600,000, the sheriff’s department reported.
