Walk with a Restorationist: The East Stanislaus Resource Conservation District invites community members to join a special guided nature walk, Walk with a Restorationist, at Caswell Memorial State Park from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Paul Thorn: A Tupelo, Mississippi native and former boxer, Paul Thorn’s path has taken him from factory floors to stages shared with John Prine, Bonnie Raitt, and Sting. Known for his plainspoken wisdom and heartfelt storytelling, his music delivers truth with a wink and a groove. Thorn will be at The State Theatre in downtown Modesto at 7 p.m. Friday. Saturday Studio: The public is invited to drop in to the Carnegie Arts Center anytime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday and get creative. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No preregistration required. The Carnegie is located at 250 N. Broadway, Turlock.
Gearhead Revival Car Show: Classic and custom cars will line the streets of Twain Harte from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday for the Gearhead Revival Car Show. The event will also feature a silent auction of car related and specialty items, 50/50 raffle and custom made trophies. All proceeds from the show go to support Twain Harte Fire Department.
