Denair murder suspect still at large
Sheriff

Investigators with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department continue to seek clues as to the identity of the killer who stabbed a Denair man to death at a birthday party.

Alejandro Revuelta Maldonado, 21, of Denair died on Sept. 14 after he was stabbed by a man who had been escorted out twice from the birthday party Maldonado was hosting.

Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Keith Rakoncza said detectives continue to follow up on leads, but at this time no suspect has been named in Maldonado’s death.

Maldonado was hosting a birthday party for a friend in the 3100 block of E. Barnhart Road in Denair that had drawn about 50 guests.

At some point in the festivities, Maldonado had to escort out a man who had not been invited to the party, according to the sheriff’s department.

The same man returned to the party shortly thereafter. The sheriff’s department said Maldonado asked the man to leave and when he didn’t Maldonado and a friend began escorting him off the property.

It was during this second attempt to remove the man that a fight broke out and Maldonado was stabbed multiple times. He was rushed to Emanuel Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

The suspect fled the area before law enforcement arrived.

The suspect was described as a white male adult in his early to mid 20s with red hair and a red beard. He stands about 5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 7 inches and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red baseball hat, red plaid long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and boots. He was seen leaving the area in a white passenger style vehicle, make and model unknown.

Anyone with possible information on this case, the suspect, or the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to contact Stanislaus Sheriff’s Detective Frank Soria at 525-7080.
