What positive idea for the community has Mayor Amy Bublak championed for us in the last 18 years? Okay, what about in the last 8 years as mayor? She sold off our fire department. She spent millions of dollars researching a road repair program that had already been established. She spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on some kind of psych program for the TPD, for which we never saw results. She gave her buddy $100,000 to help local businesses set up websites and we never saw the results of that program either. I can go on, but you are probably getting ready to quit reading this long editorial.

In 2016 you (Turlock) voted to create district representation. In the last 6 years she has done everything in her power to squash that policy. In 2020, you (Turlock) voted to voluntarily pay a higher sales tax to fund the necessary safety concerns in our city. In the last 6 years she has found loopholes to funnel some of our money into programs that were not meant to be utilized by Measure A funds. She tells us that she travels on “her dime” yet she solicits funds from local businesses to cover these costs. She was against the project that was set up to supply us with safe drinking water for the next 50 years, now she spouts her success at passing the measure. In 2019, we had established a positive plan to fund and repair the roads in Turlock. What happened? COVID hit and in 2019 & she was elected in 2020! Our entire program was scrapped and she started over, because the program did not have her name on it. Wow, really?

Let me end by asking, is this really what you want for Turlock for another 4 years? Have you had enough? I have and that is why I am voting for Jim Reape in November for Mayor, I hope you are as well! Peace & out!
