The Turlock Police Department is trying to determine what happened that left a man bloody and badly injured in an alley.

Around 5:30 a.m. Saturday the Turlock Police Department was notified by a citizen that a man was lying in a pool of blood in an alleyway in the 1100 block of Kenwood Avenue. The 50-year-old man was rushed by ambulance to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

The victim has been able to speak with detectives and is cooperating in the investigation.

“Detectives are following up on the case, but do not have any more information regarding a possible suspect or motive,” said Turlock Police Sgt. Russ Holeman.
