Residents of Joett Drive had their quiet evening interrupted when a strange man started pounding on their door and demanded to be let in.

Carlos Vines, 42, was banging on the front door of a home in the 1300 block of Joett Drive around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. He yelled at the people in the home to let him in and that he knew the people living there. No one in the home knew him, according to the Turlock Police Department.

The police arrived and found Vines in possession of methamphetamine and a fixed blade knife. He was arrested on narcotic and weapon charges.
