Backed up traffic on Lander Avenue led to a collision between a truck and motorcycle, and a trip to the hospital.

Katrina Pacheco was turning into the Save Mart parking lot from northbound Lander Avenue around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday evening when a motorcycle traveling southbound on Lander hit the back of her Chevrolet pick-up truck.

"I didn't see anything; it was just 'boom,'" she said.

The impact left the motorcycle and its driver on the road and emergency crews were called to the scene.

According to Turlock Police Sgt. Russell Holeman, the adult male driver of the motorcycle was wearing his helmet at the time of the collision. He suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

The collision blocked traffic on southbound Lander Avenue for about 45 minutes.
