A man was struck and killed by a train in Turlock on Friday.
The name of the deceased has not been released pending identification and next of kin notification.
The collision between the man and the train happened shortly after 11:30 a.m. Friday at the railroad tracks at Marshall Street and S. Golden State Boulevard.
The Union Pacific freight train was traveling south when the adult man was struck. Witnesses said they saw the man riding a bicycle just prior to being hit.
The Turlock Police Department has not stated whether the incident was accidental or if the man acted with intention. The investigation is ongoing.
