Police search for carjacking suspects

Two teenagers sitting in a parked vehicle were carjacked by a group of armed men Saturday night in Turlock.

The two victims were beat by the men and were left with bruises and scrapes from the encounter, said Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.

The incident occurred in the 700 block of S. Orange Street around 10:45 p.m. Saturday.

The two teens were sitting in the vehicle when they were approached by a group of armed men. It’s unknown how many men were involved. The teens were pulled out of the vehicle and punched repeatedly before the suspects fled the area in the vehicle.

The stolen vehicle is a black Chevy Tahoe with the license plate number 5BGS474.
