A man getting his vehicle repossessed attacked a tow truck driver, leading to his arrest, the Turlock Police Department reported.

Around 6:45 p.m. Thursday a tow truck driver was sent to a home in the 4400 block of Reflection Avenue to repossess a vehicle.

While in the process of repossessing the vehicle a man came out of the home and confronted the tow truck driver.

The man, identified as Everest Jennings, 37, pushed the tow truck driver and threatened him with a tire iron he had picked up, said Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.

The suspect hit the tow truck with the tire iron while the tow truck driver ran to safety and called the police, Lewis said.

Officers arrived and took Jennings into custody. He was arrested on suspicion of assault and battery, vandalism, and making criminal threats.
