Robbers make off with cash, merchandise

An electronics store in Turlock was robbed at gunpoint Sunday afternoon and the two suspects remain at large.The robbery was reported around 1 p.m. at the Radio Shack at 2201 Fulkerth Rd.Turlock Police Capt. Mike Langston said the two men selected some home surveillance equipment and waited in line until the sole customer left the store. At that point, one of the men pulled a gun from his waistband and ordered all the employees down on the ground.The second suspect jumped over the counter and emptied out the register, Langston said.The pair took the merchandise and an undisclosed amount of cash.The suspect with the gun was described as a Hispanic man about 35 years old. He is around 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 170 pounds. He was wearing a long sleeve white shirt, blue jeans and a black golf hat.The second suspect was a white man about 29 years old. He had on a long sleeve black or blue shirt with a flame print on the front and tan shoes.The two men were last seen running towards the Wal-Mart.Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to call the Turlock Police Department at 668-5550 or Crime Stoppers at 521-4636.
