Three killed in Turlock collision

A driver and two passengers were killed in a collision early Sunday morning in Turlock.

The names of the deceased have not been released at this time and are pending next of kin notification.

The Turlock Police Department received notice of the collision around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. It’s unknown how much time had passed between when the collision happened and when it was reported.

The collision was in the 400 block of N. Golden State Boulevard.

During the course of the preliminary investigation, it was determined that the vehicle at one point came off the roadway and collided with a tree and a light pole.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle. As a result of the collision the driver and the two passengers all sustained fatal injuries.

It’s unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision. It’s also unknown if any of the individuals were wearing seat belts at the time.

The collision is being investigated by the Turlock Police Major Accident Investigations Team. The investigation is ongoing.
