Turlock motorcyclist dies in Jamestown crash

A Turlock motorcyclist was killed in a collision Sunday afternoon in Jamestown.

The deceased was identified as Ruben Prusso, 59.

The collision happened around 4 p.m. Sunday near the split for Highways 108 and 120 in Jamestown.

Prusso was driving a Harley-Davidson eastbound at a high rate of speed, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Ahead of Prusso was a 1994 Mercedes Benz that was slowing for a red traffic light.

According to the CHP, Prusso did not slow down and tried to go around the Mercedes Benz. The Harley struck the back of the Mercedes Benz, causing Prusso to be ejected off the motorcycle.

Prusso was wearing a helmet, but sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.

The driver of the Mercedes Benz, Kathryn Stiles, 55, of Thousand Oaks, was not injured.

It’s unknown at this point in the investigation if alcohol or drugs were involved.
