The Kiwanis of Greater Turlock is asking for the community’s help in locating its trailer containing thousands of dollars’ worth of equipment.

According to the organization, the trailer was stolen on a private property on or around Aug. 27. Between the trailer and the equipment stored inside, Kiwanis officials estimate the loss at approximately $30,000.

The missing trailer is white with a black top and has a Kiwanis International logo displayed on its side. Its license plate number is UU1648.

A report has been filed with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office and California Highway Patrol.

The trailer plays an important role in the club’s activities throughout the year, allowing members to transport large equipment between storage and the various fundraising events. It was filled with specialized and custom-made items that will now have to be replaced if the trailer and its contents are not recovered.

“As you know, all of the funds we raise go back to the youth in our surrounding communities, so it is devastating to think someone would steal from our kids,” the organization shared in social media posts Tuesday.

“We know our community is amazing and we remain hopeful someone has seen something and can help us.”
