A Turlock teenager who was last seen in the company of an alleged sexual predator three months prior was located in Idaho and the suspect has been arrested, according to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office.

The teenager was last seen around 3 a.m. on Aug. 27 in the 200 block of West F St., in Turlock. She is believed to have been in the company of Cristian Ceja, 27, of Turlock. Ceja has multiple warrants for his arrest, including charges of sexual assault.

On Wednesday, a Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Detective was contacted by the family of the 16-year-old girl, who had reached out to them that day. The girl said she wanted to come back home. The sheriff’s office was able to ping her phone, which showed her to be in Kamiah, Idaho and the detective contacted the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the location and located a male subject and the teen girl in a trailer outside of a residence. The teen was taken into protective custody, and the adult man, later identified as Ceja, was arrested.

Ceja was arrested on a warrant for contacting a minor for sexual gratification, contacting a minor using an electronic device for the purpose of sexual gratification, and oral copulation of a minor. He was also charged with misdemeanor providing shelter to a runaway, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. Additional charges may be pending out of both Idaho County and California.
