TPD

Two masked men robbed a Turlock convenience store Tuesday afternoon, getting away with cash and cigarettes, the Turlock Police Department reported.

The robbery was reported at 4:48 p.m. in the 1500 block of Geer Road.

The two men entered the store and the first one asked the clerk for an item located behind the counter. As the clerk turned, the suspect pulled out a gun and ordered the clerk to give him all the money out of the register.

The second suspect walked behind the counter and put multiple cigarette cartons into a plastic bag.

The two suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and the cigarettes.

They were last seen driving eastbound of Hawkeye Avenue in a light-colored sedan. Both men were wearing masks and hooded sweatshirts. One was described as white and the other was described as white or light-skinned.
