TPD

A man was carjacked Saturday night by two men, one of whom was armed, the Turlock Police Department reported.

The carjacking was reported at 12:48 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of E. Monte Vista Avenue.

The man was in his 2015 Ford Festiva in a parking lot with the vehicle idling. Two suspects approached the vehicle, one on either side, and surprised the victim, said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Parmley.

The subject on the driver side brandished a black handgun and ordered the victim out of the vehicle.

The two male suspects got in and sped away in the vehicle heading eastbound on Monte Vista.

The victim was not injured during this incident.

The two men were described as being in their 20s, wearing dark colored clothing and face coverings.

The vehicle was silver.
