Visit turns into robbery, assault

A man who thought he was going to visit a friend instead became the victim of a robbery and a beating Thursday night.

The victim sustained non life-threatening injuries and was taken to Emanuel Medical Center for treatment, according to the Turlock Police Department.

The victim contacted the police department around 10:45 p.m. from a business on N. Golden State Boulevard and Almond Avenue.

The victim reported he was invited to a female friend’s house and when he arrived he was allegedly attacked by 32-year-old Scott Rocha.

According to the police department, Rocha beat the victim and then stole his cell phone.

Rocha is currently wanted for robbery and police are seeking information on his whereabouts. Rocha stands 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
