Authorities have identified the woman whose body was found alongside the highway in Delhi and are now seeking the public’s help in finding the driver and vehicle that struck her.

The deceased has been identified as Nicole Stefanie Newbold, 30, of Modesto. She was found by the California Highway Patrol around 1 p.m. April 13 along Highway 99, near the South Avenue off ramp in Delhi.

An autopsy revealed she was likely the victim of a hit and run and could have been out there for about a day before she was discovered.

Investigators found a broken passenger side mirror matching a 2006-2009 model Honda Civic. The passenger mirror has a black outer casing.

The vehicle could have damage to the passenger side windshield and/or passenger side pillar of the vehicle.
