A Turlock woman walking to work early Friday morning was attacked and robbed by two men and one teenager, the Turlock Police Department reported.

The robbery happened around 5:30 a.m. as the woman was walking in the 500 block of N. Tully Road.

The three suspects approached the 59-year-old woman and one of them punched her and ripped her purse away from her, said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Russ Holeman.

The three suspects ran away from the area with the woman’s purse.

A Turlock police officer was on patrol in the area and was flagged down by the woman and told of the robbery within minutes of the incident. The officer saw one of the suspects running from the area and chased after him. With assistance from other officers, all three suspects were apprehended and arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Arrested and booked into Stanislaus County Jail were: Willie Strait, 31, and Milton Ross, 23. A male juvenile was also arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall.

The woman did not require medical attention and had her purse returned.
