Karina Avila, a human resources management student at California State University, Stanislaus, was named winner of the Circle of Change Leadership Conference Business Case Competition.

The competition, held in Long Beach, drew students from around the nation for a three-day intensive program. The event culminated as students made their case presentations to a panel of leadership experts and to a large audience of attendees.

Avila is an officer in the CSU Stanislaus Society for Human Resource Management Club. She was joined at the competition by fellow club members Danielle Fletcher and Thalia Guerrero.

Avila and other SHRM members will go on to compete at the 2012 Pacific Western Regional SHRM Case Study Competition.
