For nearly a decade, Turlock Unified School District Head Start Program family service workers have partnered with Brett Forray and Julie Fox from the CSU Stanislaus Office of Service Learning and Larry Reynolds from the CSU Stanislaus Athletic Program to host the annual Family Fitness Day. According to Head Start coordinator Judy Huerta, the purpose of this event is to inform and educate parents on the importance of their children’s health and to encourage the incorporation of physical activity at home.
