KCody Rogers has faced several challenges in his 10 short years including attending seven different schools across two states. However, he has recently reached a stable level of excellence at Julien Elementary School where he was treated to an inspiring experience on Thursday: meeting the Turlock Police Department Police Chief Robert Jackson and receiving an inspirational achievement award plaque.

After experiencing real life difficulties at an early age, Rogers aims to promote peace by enforcing the law as an officer when he gets older, making his meeting with Jackson a motivational moment.

Rogers earned the Character Counts Award for Respect, a monthly award given to one student at each school throughout the District that exemplifies that month’s trait.
