Once again the Carnegie Arts Center in Downtown Turlock is holding their annual youth art exhibition, READY, SET, SHOW!

The art show opens with a free Family Friday reception celebrating all the artists from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. May 29 and will remain on display through June 27.

“We love showing the work of school-age artists; thanks to support from our Express Yourself! Justin Ferrari Youth Arts Fund we have the resources to make this exhibit a fun, annual event,” said Lisa McDermott, Carnegie Arts Center Director. “This year we have a special section dedicated to the original creations for our 2026 banner contest on the theme of ‘Parks are Fun.’ The winning art created by local students is on display throughout Downtown Turlock. Now, all the designs submitted for the contest are on display in this exhibition.”

“On our Family Friday night we hope to welcome all the young artists, their families, friends, and anyone who loves creativity,” said McDermott. “There will be snacks and art activities for everyone. And this season, each of our monthly Family Friday events have been presented free, thanks to our generous sponsors at Turlock Dental Care.”

The Carnegie Arts Center is located at 250 N. Broadway in downtown Turlock. It is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Admission: General: $7; Seniors/Students: $5; CAC & NARM members: free; youth 18 & under: free; SNAP/CalFresh EBT cardholders: free; library Discover & Go pass holders: free. First Friday of every month is free admission for all.
