The Carnegie Arts Center is celebrating 15 years of promoting arts in Turlock and the region.

The Carnegie Arts Center is celebrating its 15th season as one of the region’s most important resources for access to the arts and is seeking new board members to help further its mission. With exhibitions, classes, performances, school field trips, and creative community activities, the organization is committed to a thriving future providing “Arts for All.”

The CAC Board is composed of community members who want to support the arts and arts education in our region. Meeting monthly, the Board has responsibility for the organization’s strategic direction and ensuring the fiscal health of the non-profit Foundation. Board members serve on subcommittees such as Finance, Programming, or Fund Development, and they play a crucial role as ambassadors and advocates for the Arts Center.

“New skills and fresh ideas are always needed on any non-profit board. At the CAC we value Board members who really want to engage in guiding the future of the arts in our community,” said Board President Juliene Flanders.

Specific areas the CAC is currently interested in enhancing with new Board members include Business Administration, Finance, Fund Development, Information Technology, Grant Writing, and Non-Profit Law.

Applications should be submitted online through the CAC website by Oct. 31.

Flanders said that “review of applications will be quick as we look forward to seeing some new faces around the Board table by the start of the New Year.”
