As part of his ongoing effort to utilize social media to spotlight and thank veterans for their service, Congressman Jeff Denham’s latest Thank-A-Vet Thursday video honors Turlock resident and U.S. Navy Veteran Al Menshew, who served his country during the Korean War. Shared on Rep. Denham’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages, the video is an excerpt of an interview conducted by Denham staff member and Marine Corps veteran Eddie Mendoza as part of Rep. Denham’s ongoing efforts with the Library of Congress Veterans History Project. Al Menshew enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1948 at age 17.
