Retired Rear Admiral Mike Seward

Congressman Jeff Denham continued his Thank-a-Vet Thursday campaign by sitting down with Retired Rear Admiral Mike Seward, a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and Turlock resident.

Rear Admiral Michael Seward is a native of San Joaquin Valley. He graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in 1978 and went on to serve in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia, Operation Restore Hope in Somalia, and Operation Noble Eagle in the Coast Guard Pacific Area. He has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, the Coast Guard Commendation Medal, the Department of Transportation 9-11 Medal, the Coast Guard Achievement Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. He has also earned the Port Security and Cutterman Breast Insignia. Rear Admiral Seward continues to serve his country as the Veterans of Foreign Wars, or VFW, District 13 Commander.
