Open Cockpit Day: Castle Air Museum will host its Open Cockpit Day from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 5050 Santa Fe Dr., Atwater. Science Night at the Museum: The Great Valley Museum will host its Science Night at the Museum from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday at 2201 Blue Gum Ave., Modesto. There will be planetarium shows and free rooftop telescope viewing will be provided by MJC Astronomy Club starting after dark.

Logging Jamboree: The Logging Jamboree will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Sierra Nevada Logging Museum Amphitheater, 2148 Dunbar Rd., Arnold. There will be a barbecue, snow cones, beer and wine and free museum tours, along with logging competition. Admission is $10 for kids under 12 free.
