History of business: Owner Solomon Sarhadi started Gyros & More back in 2008, after spending 21 years working for the fast food giant Carl's Jr.

After over two decades of corporate service, Sarhadi decided it was time be his own boss.

Although Gyros & More was a previously existing business, Sarhadi made some drastic changes including how the food is prepared, recipes and also adding menu items. The results speak for themselves. Since its opening in January 2009, Sarhadi has seen a doubling of business.

Gyros & More is also a hit with the customers, with the business boasting a close to 5 star rating on the popular restaurant review site, Yelp.com.

Sarhadi credits the success to the business' attention to freshness, food quality and superb customer service.

“Customer service is the main thing,” said Sarhadi. “It’s what keeps the customers coming back.”

Business specialty: Gyros & More specializes in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food. The crowd favorite is the classic gyro. Served with either lamb or chicken, the gyro sandwich is a collection of meat, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, creamy tzatziki sauce all served on fresh pita bread. Along with gyros, the restaurant serves up kabobs, falafel, sandwiches and salads. The restaurant also hosts a full bar, with beer and wine from local breweries and wineries.
