COMMUNITY: FLAG OF HONOR
American Legion pic1

The American Legion Post 88 Honor Guard in Turlock honored the soldiers of Task Force Dark Knight, 321st Military Intelligence Battalion by flying the flag they sent from Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan. The battalion that flew this American flag over their camp represents a cluster of U.S. Army Reservists from New England to Hawaii. The flag was also raised and lowered to honor those soldiers who lost their lives to wounds and injuries during the war in Afghanistan. One soldier now rests at Arlington National Cemetery. The flag was presented to American Legion Post 88 in Turlock with a certificate stating, “So that all shall know, this flag was flown in combat, on mission, in the face of the enemy, and bears witness to the capture, interrogation, and detainment of terrorist forces threatening the freedom of the United State of America and the World.”
