Whenever Inga gets dressed up and takes a walk around town or a ride in her truck, she is greeted with smiles. Inga is a 170-pound Great Dane that enjoys dressing up for the holidays.

“It’s like a million dollars when I see the looks on people’s faces,” said Inga’s owner, Don Nordell.

Don and his wife, Cheryl, have been dressing Inga in Christmas, Easter, Halloween and Valentine’s Day fashions for the past nine years and spreading holiday joy around the community.

Inga has visited retirement homes including Covenant Village and Brandel Manor in Turlock and facilities for adults with developmental disabilities like Community Continuum College.  Inga can also be seen around town riding in the back of Don’s pickup truck.

Don said that no matter the person’s age — or size —whenever Inga comes around wearing a holiday hat and oversized t-shirt, there’s no stopping the joy.
