Christmas jingles echoed throughout the halls of the Bel Air Lodge Convalescent Hospital on Tuesday when the Kiwanis Club of Turlock crew including Santa (Joe Blanc) and his four elves passed out presents.  The Kiwanis Club of Turlock delivered a total of 81 hand-knitted afghans to residents in long-term care facilities throughout Turlock on Tuesday.

“It warms my heart seeing all their happy faces when they receive their gifts,” said Donna Oppelt, the Kiwanis Club member who knitted the afghans.  “It’s fun to make people happy during the holidays.”
