Bublak was first elected to the Turlock City Council in 2008 and served two full terms and a partial term as a member of City Council representing District 4. She has lived in Turlock for over 30 years. Bublak earned B.S from Stanislaus State and a Masters of Public Administration degree from San Francisco State University.
