Since 2005, Tower Pharmacy has been serving the community of Turlock and the Central Valley with service that goes far beyond a standard pharmacy.

A recent change in business brought them out of the Tower Health and Wellness Center and into the heart of downtown Turlock.

“Business is always changing, expenses are always going up, and it’s important for us to be able to be competitive with those large chain pharmacies,” said Brittany Nelle, Tower Pharmacy employee. “The exposure is great, as well; downtown has been awesome and we love it.”

The services offered at Tower Pharmacy are no match for chain drug stores. They are family owned, know their customers by name, take pride in the high quality of products and offer compounding services.

“Chain pharmacies aren’t able to compound and it’s a really special service that we offer the community,” said Nelle. “We are the only compounding pharmacy in Turlock.”

As Nelle described, compounding is the science of mixing or altering active pharmacological ingredients to produce unique medications tailored to the specific needs of a patient. As many patients require special dosages, have allergies to certain dyes, flavoring ingredients or preservatives or need custom packaging for their prescriptions, it’s quite a benefit.

Another service that Tower Pharmacy offers is veterinary medicine compounding.

“That’s another great niche that we have, we do pet medications as well and it gives people another local option,” said Nelle.

Tower Pharmacy offers drive-through service, a delivery and excellent customer service to provide a pleasant and convenient experience.

 “Our staff has been with us for quite some time,” said Nelle. “We concentrate on each patient from the moment they walk through the door; we want to be a resource for them and give them the time that they deserve.”

Nelle said that the staff at Tower Pharmacy understands that education is a big part of the dynamic that oftentimes chain pharmacies leave out.

“We truly want to educate and help people so they can give themselves the best opportunity to be healthy,” she said.
