For the second straight year, twins Jack and Jude Locke spearheaded a fundraising effort that was anything but sour. The Turlock brothers manned a lemonade stand in front of their house over the course of three days, June 26-28, to collect money for the Turlock Animal Shelter with a goal of raising $1,500. Thanks to generous donations from local businesses like Main Street Footers and Oak Valley Plumbers, as well as the Turlock Firefighters Local #2434 Random Acts of Kindness program, the lemonade stand was able to raise $2,385 to help the shelter care for its animals. Thanks to Dean’s Pizza, the stand was well-stocked with ice to keep drinks refreshing and cool.
