Kids in Turlock took advantage of the mild winter weather this week, fully enjoying their Christmas vacations by visiting some of Turlock’s most exciting spots.

Hilmar middle school and high school students Sage Stadtler, Taylor Lockett, Sierra Stadtler and Londyn Brazil enjoyed time off from school by making their way ‘round and ‘round the ice rink at Turlock Fields of Ice. The seasonal, temporary rink will be open through Jan. 15.

Across town at the BMX Bike Park, Keyes to Learning Charter School students Caden, Max and Sam Johns took a break from their studies to pop some wheelies and land a couple of jumps.

Four-year-old Kamani Acevedo made sure to get his exercise in by jumping on the trampolines at Get Air, where manager Davonte Fung estimates there is about a 50 percent increase in attendance during winter break.
