Arthur Daniel Montalvo Jr., Art to his friends and Turo to his family, passed away unexpectedly at Emanuel Medical Center on Saturday, October 13th surrounded by his loved ones. Art was 41 years old. 

Art was born on September 4, 1977 to Arthur Daniel Montalvo Sr. and Sandra Godinez. Raised in Turlock, Art attended Turlock City Schools, including Turlock Junior High and Turlock High School. After graduation, he continued his education at Modesto Junior College. 

Art met the love of his life, Valentin Davood and they were married in June of 2003 in Lake Tahoe, NV.

While he worked as a butcher for 5 years, his true passion in life was music. Art pursued his dreams and handled the music management, marketing and promotions for Spitflame Entertainment (Fatboy Recordz).  Art was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. 

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Pete Godinez and Pablo Montalvo; his great-grandparents, Jesus and Josephine Avila; and his uncle, Frank Godinez. Art is survived by his wife, Valentin Davood; his daughter, Elizabeth Montalvo; his father, Arthur Sr.; his mother, Sandra (Joe) Saucedo; his sisters, Celina Montalvo and Bianca Montalvo; his 3 nephews, Daymian, Drake and Daniel; his grandmothers, Frances Godinez and Emma Montalvo; and his step-siblings, Monica, Crystal, Joe and Joaquin. Turo will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. 

The viewing will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by the Rosary at 6 p.m., on Thursday, October 25th at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock. The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 26th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons Ave., Turlock.
