Betty Lee (Foshee) Judd arrived at Heavens gates, greeted by the Lord, on Friday, January 17. She was 85 years old.

Betty was born in Buckeye, AZ to Orden and Myrtle Foshee. As a young child, her family moved to Modesto, CA. After graduating from Ceres High School, she attended Modesto Junior College. In 1954, while working as a bookkeeper, she met and married her husband Ben Judd. Shortly after, they started their family with the arrival of their son, Dennis, and three years later, their daughter, Denise.

During the Vietnam War, Betty worked for Booth packing making up rations for the troops. Ironically, her daughter benefited from some of those rations while working for the USFS. She also worked as an inspector for Gallo Glass, as a worm packer, alongside her sister Wanda.

Along with her husband, Betty loved the thrill of the hunt, antiques and yard sales alike. She also enjoyed attending local Civil War reenactments. In her spare time, she loved creating beautiful dresses, which were enjoyed by many. When her grandchildren visited in the summer months, Betty would cook and host for the family – homemade strawberry jam, anyone? (Yum!) These were some of the many things she loved sharing with her family. She was a long-time resident of Ceres and was an avid member of Ceres Christian Church.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Judd; her son, Dennis Judd; her sister, Wanda Moore; and her nephew, John Tyler. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Denise Judd; grandchildren, Kristin Judd and Daniel Judd; daughter-in-law’s, Kimberlee Judd and Cheryl Gehegan; two great-granddaughters and many great nieces and nephews. Loved by many, you will be missed Mom/Ma. We love you!

A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020. The Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2020. Both services will be held at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock. Following the funeral, Betty will be laid to eternal rest at Turlock Memorial Park.
