Betty Taylor, 80, of Turlock, passed away at Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Betty was born in Kings County, CA to Lloyd and Lillian Taylor, the last survivor of seven children. She grew up on the farm and attended schools in the southern Central Valley. Betty worked at home helping to maintain their home and make it a neat, clean, healthy, happy place. Betty loved simple things: she loved to play her keyboard and sing especially Christmas songs; she enjoyed baking and drawing. She drew pictures of family and friends in their home. She loved her birds and she loved people. She found pleasure in buying and giving gifts to others.
Betty was the last survivor of her immediate family. She is survived by her niece Starlet (and Raymond) Shortreed of Turlock, other nieces and a nephew who live in other areas, and many good friends. Plans are pending for a memorial service. Memorial contributions may be directed to VMRC San Joaquin County Center at 702 N. Aurora Street, Stockton, CA, 95202. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Mortuary. Please leave memories and condolences at www.allenmortuary.com.
