With grieving family at her side, our dear Wife, Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Step-mom, Sister, Aunt and Friend has gone to be with Jesus, greeting loved ones who have predeceased her, parents Karl and Gertrude Pries, brother Kenneth, daughter Vicki Stark. She was born in San Francisco, graduated Hughson High School class of 1949 and Modesto Junior College. She worked at Hershey Chocolate, Drs. Johns and Wing Optometry and Hughson Chemical. She was a farmer’s wife, living in Hickman while her five children were growing up and again after her retirement and marriage to her devoted husband of 29 years Jim Doerksen.

She is remembered as a dedicated Mom involved in all school activities. She loved to sing and was a former member of the Sweet Adeline group. Her hobbies were crochet, painting, playing the piano, making greeting cards on the computer, rooting for the 49ers and trips to Hawaii. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church of Waterford.

Those left behind cherishing our memories are husband Jim Doerksen; four children Judi Bennett, Jay (Carla) Bennett, Greg (Kathy) Bennett, Randy Bennett/wife Carol Erickson, her son-in-law Ron (Anna) Stark, loving grandma to Stephanie Vennema, Julie Bennett, Jason Bennett, Evan Bennett, Blake Bennett, Standon Hooks, Will Bennett, Marcus Stark, Karli Stark. Step mom to Bruce (Lisa) Doerksen, Colleen (Richard) Crisel, Cindy (Paul) Macke, grandma to James Crisel (deceased), Jeremy Crisel, Ryan Doerksen, Christopher Doerksen, Michelle Manley, Keana Macke. Blessed with four great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. Also survived by sisters Patricia Oberkamper of Novato, CA, Anita Frederick of Tucson, AZ and first husband Jim (Lela) Bennett.

Funeral service Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 1:00p.m. at Allen Mortuary 247 N Broadway Turlock. Private interment. Refreshments and fellowship following at Community Baptist Church 328 D St. Waterford. Remembrances in Beverly’s honor to Community Baptist Church, Waterford or a charity of your choice.
