Bobbie Cheves, 87, of Turlock passed away peacefully on February 18, 2015.  Bobbie was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  When she was young, her family moved to Pittsburg, CA.  As a senior in high school, Bobbie moved to Modesto where she graduated from Modesto High School.  She married Gene in 1947 and they raised their family in Ceres, CA.  After retiring from the Telephone Company, Bobbie and Gene enjoyed traveling and line dancing.  She spent the last several years of her life in Turlock, CA.   Bobbie will always be remembered for her warm and friendly smile.  Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband Gene Cheves, her son Gary Cheves and her brother Jack Hinton. She is survived by her son Tom Cheves of Turlock, daughter Carol (Jim) Woodhead of Modesto. four grand children and six great grand children.   A Celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, March 1 at 1 pm at Daisy Belle Mobile Home Park, 524 20th Century Boulevard, Turlock.
