Carlene Anna Voight was born in Turlock, CA to Karl and Bertha Whipkey and lived almost her entire life in Stanislaus County. Raised with her two brothers Ronald and Richard, the only time Carlene lived outside the county was for 14 months when her family lived in Alaska.

Carlene attended Turlock schools and Modesto Junior College.  She worked for 27 years for Turlock Dairy and Refrigeration.  Carlene was married to Douglas (Doug) King for seventeen years until he passed in 2000.  Doug and Carlene started D&C Industrial Supply where they and their dog Tootsie enjoyed giving great service to their customers who were also their friends.  

In 2004 Carlene married Robert (Bob) Voight and they very much enjoyed married life.  Carlene was a very loving person who always made each person she came in contact with feel important.  

Carlene is survived by her husband Bob Voight; brothers Ronald (Raynalda) Whipkey and Richard (Cathy) Whipkey; step children Denice (Steven) Chavez, Brian (Sherri) Voight, Debbie (Aben) Williams; Rebecca (Jack) Yarnell who has been like a daughter; 6  step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren; 3 nephews, 1 niece and many special friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 pm Sat. May 2, 2015 at Allen Mortuary with a luncheon reception following at the Allen Event Center.   In lieu of flowers (Carlene believed flowers should be in the garden) memorial contributions can be made in Carlene’s memory to the American Legion Auxiliary or Hospice.  Please share your memories at
