Clif was born in 1932 to Foster and Lorena Stark in New Mexico.  After high school, he played professional AAA baseball for the Santa Barbara Dodgers and was offered a scholarship to USC, which he declined so that he could join the United States Marine Corps.  He served his country during the Korean War.  Later, Clif worked for Scranton and Qualle and Joseph Gallo Farms.  He was on the Hughson Planning Commission, belonged to the Odd Fellows, was a wood craftsman, and enjoyed coaching Little League.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; children, Jeff (Diane) Stark of Hughson, Ron (Ana) Stark of Hughson, Tami McQueen of Turlock and Sandy (Ross) Mc Ginnis of Oakdale; siblings, Loretta McCall, Neeva Faultner, Judy Castro and Bruce Stark; grandchildren, Nathan, Marcus and Karli Stark, Tarae and Elijah Mc Queen and Summer McGinnis.
Clif was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Vicki Stark; son-in-law, Raymond McQueen; and brother, Coy Stark.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 2 at the Hughson Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Alzheimer’s Association, 416 Downey Ave., Modesto, CA.
