Dallas Bache Jr.

Dallas Bache Jr. of Delhi, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2018 after a brief battle with cancer. Dallas proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1953-1957 on active duty and was honorably discharged in 1961. Dallas married the love of his life, Janice on February 19, 1954 and they were married for fifty-seven years.  He worked for his father in the Ag Chemical business and eventually purchased the company. He later used his expertise and worked for a local farm management company for many years.  His first love, after family, was cars.  He raced is 38M sportsman in 1969 at the Watsonville and Merced tracks and was proud to be chosen as Rookie of the Year.  He and Janice were members of the Modesto Area Street Rod Association and enjoyed many years of car shows and road rallies with other members. They also took many road trips with their motor-home/camper and boat, with the goal of fishing in as many of the California lakes as possible.  Serving his community, Dallas was a member of the Delhi Volunteer Fire Department, Delhi-Ballico Lions Club and Merced Elks.  

Dallas was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Bache and son, Dan Bache.  He is survived by his two children, Kathy Davis and Ron (Eleanor) Bache; six grandchildren, Brianna (Andrew) Torres, Danielle (Nick) Garcia, Marc (Amber) Davis, Monica (Andrew) Hutzell, Andra Bache and Kayla Bache; his three great-grand-children, Carson and Kenzlie Bache and Avery Torres; and his sister, Pat Taussig. He was loved by many family and friends who he shared his life and memories with. Dallas was quite the story teller and always kept family and friends entertained with stories of his life and the adventures he had.  

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018. Both services will be held at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Covenant Care Hospice at 125 N. Broadway, Suite IB, Turlock, CA 95380, or to a charity of your choice.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock.
